Only McDonald's Slippers in Vietnam
January 12th, 2009 . by the siuyehSo I took a picture of this on the streets of Hanoi while I was there … at first, I thought it was kind of funny how people would just slap on any global brand on anything – in this particular case, McDonald’s logo on a pair of slippers

Then I realized, I only saw a KFC in Hanoi, but no McDies! So I went on a mission to find out why and here are some info I found:

I don’t think there’s an answer … if anything, there are theories and … heated debates. Well, what I’m sure is, there is no McDonald’s in Vietnam … not yet.
Thouhgt it was interesting… Not only about the slipper and what it says abou thte image of the West and McDonalds, but that the slipper actually says “MGBOnalds”
