A Heart of Cheese
(Hong Kong, January 11, 2010) – Give your lover your heart on a platter this Valentine’s Day at Classified. The heart-shaped Neufchatel cheese, Coeur de Neufchatel from the region of Haute-Normandy, France, is created in the artisanal way and can take on several forms, with the heart shape being the most popular.
From February 13 to 28, and only while stocks last, Classified will be offering a heart-shaped Coeur de Neufchatel, just in time for customers to enjoy this Valentine’s.
Closely related to the Camembert in its texture and taste, the Neufchatel’s texture is more coarse and has a deeper rind which hides a glossy, soft pate with a delicate but deep flavour. One of the oldest cheeses in France, the Neufchatel has been enjoyed by the French since the 6th century and was awarded the AOC label in 1977. Accompanied by a robust red wine and fresh crusty bread, this cheese is a pure marvel.
Available at $199 + 10% service charge for dine-in (approx. 200g) served with baked apple cherry jam. Also available for retail at $116.
